education for Form 4 graduates of other Secondary Schools in
Musoma Rural. The construction of the school was started two
years ago and so far the 12 classrooms, which are already fully
furnished, the administration buildings and the function hall
are completed. The work on the laboratory building for sciences
like chemistry or physics was also completed two weeks ago with
the interior works currently in process. The
furniture according to the latest international standards is
already delivered and ready to be built in. The next step will
be the cultivation of the hinterland and the construction of
dormitories and teachers’ houses. Right now, Oswald
Mang’ombe High School accommodates 93 boys. When the building
phase is completed – which is expected in 2008 - the school
can offer its’ facilities to up to 250 students.
It
is considered to satisfy the schools requirement for water and
electricity by collecting rain water and it is planned to hook
up to the national grid before the next term starts. Therefore
15 tanks have already been build which will enable the
administration to not only supply the school with enough water
to cater its needs but also to
support the villagers living around the school.
